Pitch_Bending_-_Throat Player 2

In this video clip, the saxophonist bends the pitches of the chromatic scale from D#6 to F#6. Contrary to the movement of the tongue in the video of Player 1, the tongue in this video moves farther into the throat as the pitch descends. (The depression of the tongue is seen as a movement of the tongue upward toward the epiglottis in this video clip.) This indicates that the tongue is moving farther back inside the mouth as the pitch drops.
